Hi, this is a very interesting site. My Great Grandfather was from Derby, so perhaps we are distantly related? I paticularly liked the story of John Spendlove as that is my fathers name - he wasn't so keen! Also of interest was the break down of the coat of arms. My Uncle has done some reasearch into the family name and has found that before Derby, we may have come from Russia. Have you found this?

This site is very interesting. We are currently living in Australia but formerly from Bedfordshire in England. My grandparents names were Robert and Ivy Spendlove. My father's name is Roland. I would love to hear from other family members.
