Hi, and welcome to my website, my name is Gwenda James formerly Spendlove nee Tamblyn; when my son Andrew first gave me this web site I intended to dedicate it to the Spendlove's; but have now decided to add other trees I am intereresed in and researching.

This latest version of an evolving process. It is a progressive series of drafts being refined by correcting errors and omissions and adding information with the help of family members.
Its content depends greatly on information gathered from the family, and public records, and it is only as complete and accurate as the information supplied and found.
Some public records have been used (eg. Victoria Births, Deaths and Marriages) mainly through local public libraries, but privacy legislation restricts availability of some records. So the process of verification for dates & places from records has at times been extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Anyone looking at my website is invited to forward details of errors and omissions
I would be pleased to share with any family member details of where data was obtained and copies of certificates and census returns etc.

To everyone who has helped me with my family history research a big thankyou;

Many years ago I was told my family of Pink's were connected to the Pink Pickle Factory from London. I started researching the family hoping to find the connection, but after many years of research have not been able to make the connection, hoping that by putting the tree on my site someone might be able to help me.
